The process: Condoms

Latex buyers select the trees from which the
latex will be extracted. A liquid, the latex is
drawn off the trees at the rate of around two
egg cupfuls per day and, after quality checks,
the latex is sent to the factory.
Assisted by state of the art European technology,
heat resistant glass moulds are dipped into the
liquid latex, where they take up a thin covering
of the material. After a baking process, the
moulds are dipped again to take on a further
layer and the ends are brushed to create the
thicker material at the open end of the condom.
The condoms are then washed off the moulds and
washed in a special ingredient, to ensure that
they are clean and smooth.
After tumble drying, all the condoms are tested,
carrying the distinctive guarantee of 'zero
defect/rejection'. The testing process follows
up 5 different steps:
-Control of burst volume and pressure.
-Electronic
Pinhole Testing.
-Seal
Integrity.
-Quality
of lubricants.
-Length,
windth and thickness.

In
1995, according to the GMP international
standard, our group invested and set up an
office building of 100,000 feet, characterized
with its 4A level intellectual research and
manufacturing facility, and got the
ratification work on GMP, USFDA, ISO and CE
management system. This indeed marks the coming
new era for the Unilatex Group of being nowadays
a very industrialized, specialized and
international enterprise.
